We tried human agents. Alita was better.
A senior care operator explains how replacing outsourced chat agents with AI improved conversations, delivering more knowledgeable, empathetic responses and better supporting families navigating care decisions with 24/7 intelligent assistance.
A senior care industry professional shares their experience replacing human chat agents with Alita AI on their website. They explain how their previous human agents in the Philippines had language barriers and limited knowledge since they supported multiple agencies, often providing only canned responses. The speaker found that Alita creates richer conversations due to its access to comprehensive information and demonstrates appropriate empathy when dealing with sensitive senior care situations involving people's parents and spouses. They emphasize the importance of having an AI agent that understands the nuanced nature of senior care work and can engage with the right level of emotional intelligence, sometimes even more effectively than their previous human agents.

I did have a chat function on our website, and it was live human agents responding. But our chat agents were not perfect. They were in the Philippines. There's language discrepancies. Also, they were supporting multiple different agencies. So the knowledge that they had was quite limited. And what they were doing was providing canned responses anyway. So I've actually found that Alita, the conversations tend to be a little bit more rich even though it is with an AI agent because it has access to more information. This is people's parents. This is people's spouse. This is people's most important prized possessions in their life. You know? So I needed to ensure that the AI agent on our website matched what we were trying to achieve. This work is so nuanced, and it's unlike any other industry. So I think the fact that you have that expertise, senior care and Alita seems to engage appropriately, engage with the appropriate responses, with the appropriate amount of, honestly, empathy that I've seen. This at least can emote a little bit more than even our human agents where I think that's important when you're dealing with with people.
