John Shagoury on Why Alita Solves What Others Can’t

I'm John Shagoury. I am the former CEO of IntelyCare. We're the largest post acute nurse staffing firms in the industry. I've seen a lot of companies fail because they didn't truly understand the needs and pains of the customer and how to address them properly. Post acute is very different from acute care. It doesn't get the attention. It doesn't always get the kind of love from, the technology plays to help solve the problems that the post acute world faces. It's things like that that drove me to Alida. I found this solution to be extremely compelling because the pain point they were addressing was really the biggest challenge that we faced at IntelyCare. Leadership at these facilities didn't have the time or the capacity or the technical ability to do their best job of staffing and of meeting their staffing needs. Nor were they doing the best job of responding to potential residents or potential clients that were looking for services. And the answer to that couldn't be, let's just hire more administrative staff to handle the process. So the fact that they had an AI driven technology solution that really kind of was singularly focused and kind of purpose build for post acute was very compelling to me. The Elitist solution isn't trying to be so far reaching and do everything. It's trying to be simple and focus on a couple of key tasks that facilitate a process and allow the operators to basically maximize the resources they have in the right ways.
