Alita vs Waypoint Converts: Hiring and Intake Compared

Alita vs Waypoint Converts: Hiring and Intake Compared

Waypoint converts the visitors already on your website. Alita answers families and applicants wherever they show up. Where they overlap.

Co-Founder & CEO

Waypoint Converts is a website conversion layer, while Alita runs intake and hiring as AI agents across web chat, phone, SMS, social and job posts. Invoca's 2026 senior care benchmarks found 53% of calls across senior care are answered by a person. A website-only tool never answers the phone at all.

What Do Alita and Waypoint Converts Each Actually Ship?

Waypoint Converts and Alita both promise more inquiries and more applicants from the same traffic, but they work on different surfaces. As of October 2026, Waypoint sells a conversion layer that sits on your website: the Navigator menu, ProForms, an AI Sales Assistant and a careers-page Recruitment Assistant. Alita sells conversational agents that handle intake and hiring on the website and on every other channel a family or candidate uses.

Start with Waypoint on its own terms. Its products page describes Navigator as "forms, chat, tours, scheduling, and surveys" in one interactive tool. It describes ProForms as digital forms that gather prospect information without a wall of fields, and the AI Sales Assistant as an always-on digital assistant that contextualizes inquiries. Live chat is a human-to-human conversation through a partner, and a CallRail integration adds call tracking. Its segments page lists senior living, skilled nursing, active adult, CCRCs, home care and a Recruitment and HR segment, with senior living clearly the core.

That website focus is a reasonable bet, because the web is now the largest single source of inquiries in senior living. In Aline's Sales and Marketing Benchmark Snapshot for Q3 2025, web inquiries were 51% of all inquiries at independent living communities. At assisted living communities, web inquiries made up 48% of all inquiries in that same Q3 2025 snapshot. Phones told the opposite story: call-ins were just 14% of all inquiries at independent living communities in Q3 2025, and call-ins were 13% of all inquiries at assisted living communities in Q3 2025.

Read those figures together and the shape of this comparison appears. Roughly half of inquiries arrive through the website, which is exactly the half Waypoint is built to convert. The other half arrives by phone, referral and paid sources, and a tool that lives only on your pages never sees it. Alita's agents answer on the website, by phone, by text and on social, so the same qualification happens wherever the inquiry starts.

How Do Alita and Waypoint Compare on Intake?

On intake the two overlap most. Waypoint's Navigator, ProForms and AI Sales Assistant engage a visitor, answer questions and capture structured details, then hand a summary to the sales team. Alita's intake agents hold the whole first conversation, qualify care needs and fit, and book the tour or call themselves. In 2026 the difference is where the conversation ends: with a captured lead for Waypoint, or with a booked next step for Alita.

Here is the grid. Every row reflects what each vendor publishes about its own product on its own site. We did not test either product for this table.

A clear Waypoint strength for senior living CRMs

Waypoint's integration list is a genuine advantage. Its FAQ page names WelcomeHome, Aline, Enquire, HubSpot and Salesforce, plus CallRail, Google Ads and GA4, so a senior living sales team keeps its existing pipeline. The same FAQ says Navigator presents your scheduling tool as one of its action buttons, which means the visitor still has to finish the booking somewhere else.

Speed is where that matters. Aline's 2024 Benchmark Report, drawing on over 9,300 communities, found that when sales reps contact prospects promptly after an inquiry, the likelihood of scheduling a tour jumps by nearly 50%. Aline does not define promptly in minutes or hours. A captured form still waits for a person to call back. An agent that books the tour during the conversation removes the wait entirely, which is the case we make in our look at whether chatbots can schedule tours automatically.

How Do Alita and Waypoint Compare on Caregiver and Clinician Hiring?

Waypoint does ship a hiring product, which separates it from most website conversion vendors. Its AI Recruitment Assistant lives on your careers page, syncs open roles from your applicant tracking system, answers candidate questions about pay, benefits and shifts, and points people to apply. In 2026 Alita's hiring agents go further: they screen the applicant, check licenses and availability, and book the interview, on the careers page and off it.

Waypoint's Recruitment and HR Assistant page says roles auto-sync from Paycom, Paycor, UKG Pro or any RSS feed, that the assistant engages candidates on evenings and weekends, and that it installs with one script on your careers page. Its FAQ adds that candidate data is delivered by email notification and webhook to your HR systems. Nothing on either page describes screening a candidate or scheduling an interview. The assistant captures and guides; your recruiters still do the first real conversation.

That handoff is where candidates disappear. In 2023, Indeed found 62% of job seekers said they plan to ghost during future job searches, in its Ghosting in Hiring report, a survey of job seekers across the U.S., U.K. and Canada who had ghosted an employer before. A caregiver who chats with a careers-page assistant at 11pm and gets an email from a recruiter two days later is squarely in that group.

The volume makes the gap expensive. The Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook projects employment of home health and personal care aides to grow 18% from 2025 to 2035, with about 760,500 openings projected each year, on average, over the decade. Teams hiring at that pace cannot afford a captured-but-unscreened applicant pile. Alita's hiring agents ask the qualifying questions in the first conversation and put the interview on the calendar, so the recruiter meets a screened candidate, not a name in an inbox. The same logic runs on Indeed posts, which we cover in turning Indeed clicks into caregiver interviews.

Which Channels Does Each Product Answer On?

Channel coverage is the widest gap between the two products as of October 2026. Waypoint's site describes website tools only: Navigator, forms, the AI Sales Assistant, partner live chat and call tracking. Its FAQ makes no mention of text messaging, a voice assistant, Facebook Messenger or Instagram. Alita answers on website chat, phone, SMS, Messenger, Instagram and link agents on job posts and ads, with one set of qualification rules across all of them.

The people Alita's agents talk to live on those channels. Pew Research Center's Social Media fact sheet, from a 2025 survey, reports that 71% of U.S. adults say they ever use Facebook, and 74% of adults ages 50 to 64 say they ever use Facebook. Adult children researching care for a parent sit right in that age band, and a question asked in a Messenger thread never reaches a website-only tool.

Phones carry the rest. Pew's Mobile Technology fact sheet from the same 2025 survey found 78% of U.S. adults 65 and older own a smartphone. An older adult exploring independent living for themselves can just as easily text or call as type into a form. Waypoint's CallRail integration will attribute that call to a campaign. It will not answer it.

To be fair to Waypoint, a single-channel product is simpler to run, and if your inquiry mix is overwhelmingly web, the missing channels cost you less. Our piece on whether website chat is enough for senior care intake walks through how to read your own mix before deciding.

What Happens When a Family Calls Instead of Clicking?

Calls are the clearest dividing line. Waypoint tracks phone conversions through CallRail so they appear in attribution next to form fills, but no Waypoint product answers the call. Alita's voice agents pick up at any hour, qualify the caller the same way the chat agent would, and book the tour or interview. In 2026 that is the difference between knowing a call came in and knowing what the caller needed.

The industry's own pickup rate shows how much rides on this. Invoca's Senior Care Lead Conversion Benchmarks Report 2026 found 53% of calls across senior care are answered by a person, with all figures averaged across Invoca's customer base. Invoca also reports that 29% of calls answered by a person are leads, and 41% of those leads convert on the call. A call that rings out is a lead you paid to generate and never spoke to.

Put the Aline and Invoca figures side by side and a website conversion tool's ceiling becomes visible. Call-ins are the smaller channel, and a meaningful share of them never reaches a person, so the unanswered phone is a small but entirely recoverable slice of demand, and it is often the slice a family in a hurry reaches for. Alita's voice agents exist for exactly that slice. The Hub then shows your team every conversation, on every channel, in one place.

How Do You Choose Between Alita and Waypoint Converts?

In 2026, choose by where your inquiries and applicants actually arrive, not by feature count. Waypoint Converts fits a senior living operator whose demand is mostly web traffic, who wants Navigator and ProForms wired into WelcomeHome, Aline or Enquire, and who has staff to call leads back. Alita fits an operator who needs the first conversation handled and the next step booked on the website, the phone, SMS and social, for families and for caregiver applicants.

A short checklist settles most cases:

  • Pull a quarter of inquiries by channel. If web is the large majority and your team returns calls within the hour, Waypoint covers most of your funnel.

  • Count the inquiries nobody engaged, including after-hours messages and missed calls. WelcomeHome's Q1 2025 benchmark review found communities engaging with 75% of inquiries on average, so there is usually a measurable gap. If yours is material, you need an agent that answers, not a form that captures.

  • Look at your hiring funnel. If applicants stall between applying and the first recruiter conversation, Alita's screening and interview booking addresses the stall directly, while Waypoint's assistant improves the application step.

  • Check your CRM. Waypoint's named integrations with senior living CRMs are a real convenience for sales teams that live in those systems.

Some operators will run both: Waypoint shaping the website journey, Alita answering the phone, the texts, the social messages and the job-post clicks. The honest summary is that Waypoint converts the visitors already on your site, and Alita goes where the rest of your families and candidates are. Does Waypoint Converts answer phone calls or text messages?

Does Waypoint Converts answer phone calls or text messages?

Not according to its own site. Waypoint's products page and FAQ describe website tools: the Navigator menu, ProForms, an AI Sales Assistant, partner-staffed live chat and a CallRail integration that tracks calls for attribution. No product answers a call or holds an SMS conversation. Alita's voice and SMS agents answer, qualify and book the next step at any hour.

Can Alita and Waypoint Converts be used together?

Can Alita and Waypoint Converts be used together?

Yes, and some operators will. Waypoint can keep shaping the website journey with Navigator and ProForms and syncing to WelcomeHome, Aline or Enquire, while Alita handles the conversations that happen off the site: phone calls, text follow-up, Facebook Messenger and Instagram inquiries, and applicants arriving from Indeed or ad links. Summary

Waypoint Converts and Alita both work on intake and hiring, but Waypoint is a website conversion layer for senior living sites while Alita is a set of AI agents that answer across channels. Waypoint is stronger on named senior living CRM integrations and offers partner-staffed live chat, and its careers-page Recruitment Assistant is a real hiring feature, though it captures and guides rather than screens and schedules. Alita is stronger wherever the conversation has to happen without a person available: on the phone, over SMS, on Messenger and Instagram, and from job-post links, with qualification and booking done inside the conversation. Read your inquiries by channel first, then pick the tool that covers where your families and candidates actually show up.
